Wichy Hassan, Libyan by birth and Roman by adoption, is a free and creative spirit with a passion for contemporary and pop art, for the avant-gardes and for emerging artists. And, he also has a definite propensity for fashion as a way of being and portrayal of the present.
After he opened the first Energie store in Rome during the second half of the 1980s, Wichy Hassan met Renato Rossi. The engineer and entrepreneur who immediately realized – and admired Wichy’s extraordinary creativity.

The partnership between these two men – so different and yet so complementary – proved to be very successful and led to the birth of the Gruppo Sixty as an industrial entity in 1989.
The immediately successful star-up soon gave rise to a series of brands targeting different segments of the youth market.
The Gruppo Sixty, with its several distinct lines: men’s, women’s, and junior now has roughly 7,000 sales points in over 90 countries.
The market strategy based on affirmation and consolidation is supported by constant research and experimentation.

A successful union of industrialization and artisan methods, strengthened by innovation is the outstanding characteristic of this brilliant, dynamic group’s creative and marketing strategies. It also reaches to the sales point concept: an unmistakable look with constant – educated – references to the worlds of art, film, music, and young people’s movements, supported by advertising campaigns that carry on in the same spirit.
The Gruppo Sixty’s recognizable presentation philosophy summarizes the global concept developed by Wichy Hassan’s creative flair and the entrepreneurial talents of his partner, Renato Rossi: two courageous captains at the helm of a great firm that has the wind in its sails.
